OUR MISSION
Fighting food insecurity is our mission.
Repurposing surplus produce is our solution.

Our goal
To put ourselves out of business.
No one should go to bed hungry while perfectly good food goes to waste.
In a world with a functioning food system, The Farmlink Project wouldn’t need to exist. Food would move efficiently from farms to communities, and waste wouldn’t be the norm.
Until that system exists, we serve as the link—connecting surplus food to people who need it most. Our long-term goal is to help build the infrastructure that makes our work unnecessary.
That’s the future we’re working toward.
And we need your help to get there.

Our team
Who We Are
Our team comprises more than 100 students from colleges and universities across the country. When our college campuses closed in March 2020 in response to COVID-19, many of us found ourselves back at home with the urge to help those struggling in this pandemic. The Farmlink Project was born in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have plans to become a long-term and sustainable organization in the fight against food insecurity and food waste.
Our Impact
how far we've come
From our first delivery and beyond, The Farmlink Project has grown nationwide—and we're only getting started!
Our partners
Let's make an
impact together.
Our work is made possible by the generosity of our partners. With early support from Food Finders, Uber Freight, ReFED, and Kroger, we grew from a grassroots effort into a national movement. Today, we proudly collaborate with mission-aligned companies and foundations—including Chipotle, Primal Kitchen, Taylor Farms, Carhartt, Google, and others—to deliver food to communities in need.

DEI Commitment
our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
We all have a stake in the food system. The Farmlink Project aspires to collaborate with a diverse network of individuals, communities, and organizations as we work towards a more equitable and food secure future.
