SNAP Cuts: Our Response
Aidan Reilly

Right now, we are two days out from SNAP benefits being cut nationwide for the first time in the programs history
Nearly $12.5 billion in aid suspended for November
42 million Americans affected, most already below the poverty line
Put that in context: food-bank budgets slashed across 2025, a million and a half federal workers unpaid for over 30 days and counting, and grocery prices at record highs. While nothing is final until November 1st, this country is staring down the barrel of a genuine hunger crisis.
Since January, weve been fielding calls from food banks facing fewer resources and higher demand than ever before. This is devastating. But weve been here before. Farmlink was built for moments when systems fail people.
While others debate, our fellows, industry partners, and team stand ready to act. It wont be easy, but there is enough food in this country to feed every person on the planetand we can help millions more starting today.
This week I had the opportunity to hear Al Gore speak. If theres any way to sum up how Farmlink is approaching the challenge ahead, its the Joan Baez quote he closed with:
The antidote to despair is action.
Take action with us today, as you have every step of the way.
